What is LumaPet?LumaPet supports healthy digestion and immune systeem function for our dogs and cats.

LumaPet is a supplement that supplies the first line of defense against everyday exposure to environmental and food-borne factors.

LumaPet creates an optimal environment or ecology in your pet’s gut membrane so that good gut bacteria can flourish.  Good gut flora protects your pet’s immune system and maintains their health.

Scientists trained at some of the most esteemed universities in the country, such as the University of Virginia, Duke University, and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, developed LumaPet. It is a scientifically-proven soil-derived mineral supplement designed to support protection of the intestinal walls.

What does LumaPet do?

LumaPet supports healthy digestion, promotes immune function, and strengthens the gut lining to protect your pet from daily harmful environmental exposures. It is naturally gluten-free. Carbon-based redox molecules from ancient fossilized soil directly impact pet intestinal tissue.

LumaPet, formulated by a doctor, is based in science.   Research shows it to be non-toxic. Because they take the safety of ther product very seriously, the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Team does regular testing for bacterial contamination, heavy metals, and overall product composition and strength. They performed the “gold standard” toxicology study on LumaPet which showed that it is non-toxic on dog and cat kidney cells.

Experiments show that environmental toxins, including herbicides, degrade the gut barrier. Cell cultures show that LumaPet promotes the strengthening of the tight junctions in small and large gut membrane cells, creating an optimal gut environment and shielding your pet from these toxic substances.

Is LumaPet different than RESTORE human supplement?LumaPet with vet and healthy cat

LumaPet is the exact same formula as RESTORE and is
manufactured using the same quality control and
Good Manufacturing Practices (FDA GMP).

LumaPet was launched as a different product for these
reasons:

  • Many pet owners are looking for digestive and immune support for their pets, and they have yet to learn about RESTORE.
  • LumaPet has different usage directions, based on pets’ weight, because some are teeny tiny and some are huge!
  • Regulations differ for human and animal supplements, and so does the claims companies can make for each.  Restore4Life is a member of the non-profit National Animal Supplement Council (NASC), whose Seal of Quality is intended to show consumers they are committed to the “highest current standards in the industry today.” They expect to begin using NASC’s seal in early-2018.
  • Restore4Life has new and comprehensive safety and efficacy data for felines and canines.

Why should my dog or cat be taking LumaPet?

Cat and dog playing after taking LumaPet digestive and immune support supplement.

LumaPet takes a holistic approach and helps strengthen your pet’s gut barrier and maintain their immune system to create a firewall from everyday exposure to environmental factors. A diet high in heavily-processed foods filled with chemicals, GMOs, gluten, and environmental toxins such asherbicides may impact the health of the immune system.

Even when supplying your pet with a much healthier, organic diet, it is virtually impossible to avoid exposure to environmental factors.

It is estimated that in 2016 two billion pounds of glyphosate were dumped on our planet’s agricultural soils. Because our pets’ diets are often much higher in meat products than ours, that glyphosate is concentrated for them and can result in gut permeability.

How does LumaPet work?

Through state-of-the-art scientific cell culture studies, we know that by keeping the gut healthy and functioning optimally, we can protect our pets’ gut from gluten and other chemicals. In short, LumaPet nurtures the body’s protective membranes in the gut and in the blood/brain barrier, enabling them to work, keeping our pets healthy.

What is in LumaPet?

LumaPet™ is a soil-derived pet supplement that promotes healthy digestion and an optimal gut environment for our dogs and cats. It is not a probiotic, and it is not a prebiotic. Instead, it is a carbon-rich, alkaline liquid, comprised of Terrahydrite™, a proprietary formulation of Aqueous Humic Substances and trace mineral amino acid complexes.

LumaPet is manufactured by Biomic Sciences, the makers of RESTORE,  the same great formula for members of your human family.

Lab testing shows that LumaPet increases and strengthens the tight junction proteins in our pets’ gut lining.  The gut lining is the frontline of defense against environmental factors in our pets’ food, water, and even air, and since much of the immune system (70%+) is in the gut lining, toxins traveling through the gut impact the immune system.  A stronger gut lining keeps undigested food and environmental elements, such as herbicides and the antibiotics used in livestock farming, from leaking out into the bloodstream from the intestines.  This promotes pet health since their immune systems do not have to defend against these foreign “invaders.”

LumaPet has a neutral taste and is a liquid, making it easy to give to your pets with meals or to add to pure water. It is proudly manufactured in the United States from ingredients sourced in the USA.

What is the usage of LumaPet?

Give at meal time or add to one-half cup pure water, preferably two times per day.

Based on pet weight:

≤20 lbs: 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml)

21 lbs – 100 lbs: 1 tsp (5 ml)

≥101 lbs: 1/2 Tbsp (7.5 ml)

How is LumaPet different from probiotic products?

LumaPet is very different because it does not contain any live bacteria.

When giving LumaPet,  we do not recommend long-term use of probiotics or digestive enzymes.

We prefer that the communication network of LumaPet be allowed to balance the normal bacterial biome and enzymatic digestive process. Oral introduction of high-dose enzymes by mouth changes the rate and location of digestive breakdown in the gut. Similarly, long-term use of probiotics creates an oversimplified monoculture in the bacterial biome. Use of either probiotics or digestive enzymes for a couple of weeks after antibiotic exposure or a viral illness is reasonable.

What are tight junctions?

“Gatekeepers in the Gut”

You can think of tight junctions as a rock-solid football defensive line protecting the opposing team from scoring any points because it has “tight junctions.”  In our pets’ immune system, these same kinds of tight junctions keep things out of the bloodstream that should not be there and at the same time allow nutrients to enter the bloodstream.

A growing body of well-developed science demonstrates that the tight junction barrier in the gut can be degraded with exposure to gluten and glyphosate (the main chemical in commercial herbicides).

Why is protection from Glyphosate so important?

Many scientific studies show that glyphosate, the active ingredient in commercial herbicides, is implicated in a wide variety of systemic disorders/diseases. Glyphosate works synergistically with other factors, such as insufficient sun exposure, dietary deficiencies in critical nutrients such as sulfur and zinc, and synergistic exposure to other xenobiotics (a substance that is foreign to an organism) whose detoxification is impaired.

Pets and humans need protection from glyphosate since it is heavily used for commercial, agricultural, and residential purposes. Research by Stephanie Seneff (MIT) links glyphosate’s suppression of proper gut bacteria functioning to many modern diseases.

In fact, research by Biomic Sciences shows that glyphosate is ten times more potent than gluten in its ability to degrade tight junctions in the gut membrane wall! Thankfully, this news comes at a time when we have a way to protect from glyphosate and to help improve and maintain gut health. Biomic Sciences recently proved that the trademarked ingredient, Terrahydrite™ can increase and strengthen tight junctions and can protect against ongoing everyday exposure to herbicides.

Can LumaPet help with hairballs?

There is no evidence to suggest LumaPet can help with hairballs. We recommend that you refer to your pet’s health care provider or veterinarian for help with this problem.

Does LumaPet™ help with kidney disease, urinary tract infections, or inflammatory bowel disease?

In compliance with the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) regulations in certifying LumaPet as a supplement for dogs and cats, LumaPet has not been evaluated or approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We cannot speak directly about specific disease conditions.  We recommend that you refer to your pet’s health care provider or veterinarian to discuss your pet’s specific health concerns and the role of LumaPet in their health.
